In past we used to use the floppy disk or CD to hold a certain program. but nowadays, we are able to use internet to download a programs. According to a seminar " Cloud", software and data which is processed and stored by a remote computer.
Advantages for Cloud :
- Your slow computer will become a fast expensive one using the cloud.
- Access from multiple devices
- Goodbye to software and hardware
- no need for backing- up your data
- faster connections
Disadvantages for Cloud :
- Administrators can view your data
- administrators can delete your data
The connection between the sender and the cloud might be slow but quick between the cloud and the user.
Types of cloud services:
- storage only cloud services
- SAAS (software as a service)
- PAAS ( Platform as a service)
Examples on services:
- one drive
- google drive
- I Cloud
- Drop Box
At our university, we have unlimited space for cloud. so this will help us a lot as students and usually changes will be automatically saved. And I'm so thankful for such a lecture by which I gained lots of benefits.
