MY First Teaching Experiance Corner

Well, being a novice teacher for this year, I gained lots of new things to learn. I learned from them as much as I taught them. It was a fruitful year full of happiness, hardships, love, crying, failor ,success ... and all the opposed words that might come to your mind. I was an English teacher for KGs, I hadn't expected that one day I would be a teacher for KGs. But when I entered their world , I found that I started to be a new character. KGs teacher is not only a teacher, she is a designer, a clown, an actor, a cartoon character. She is a mother, a big sister, a counselor, a psychologist ,... Not every person has the tendency to teach KGs , she has to have a special character that fits that world. At the end of this year, I realized that I discovered a new kind of love. A love that will never ever be forgotten or released! YES, it's my love for my students! I will never forget the first day I met them, neither how naughty they were. I will never forget how much they changed later on and how much you let me feel proud. Yeah, it was hard, but I can't deny the fact of giving me the sense of responsibility and success at the end of this fruitful year. I'll neither forget their beautiful shiny smiles, neither their angelic faces nor their bright eyes, and the way they used to look at me while teaching. I don't know if I am going to love other students for the coming years as much as I did for them. But I'm sure that they are now printed in my heart deeply.

ALMS Corner

• ALMS is a club that is consist of a group of girls whose main goal is to introduce acts of kindness to our society and print a smile on people's face. There main quote is " Work hard in silence, let success make its noise." So their main goal is to spread smile on peoples' face everywhere, and let them forget a little bit about their sorrows or even the small problems that they might face each day. one of the ways of doing this is by applying in LIU university and spreading to villages, schools, home, and individuals to show the people the kindness of Islam through small activities, not by saying but by doing. it is called ALMS because it means donation, charity, handout, bounty, benefaction, offering, contribution, favor, ... The main goals of this group are:
•  spread kindness as individuals
• develop voluntary activities of people with the aim of spreading Islamic morals in an indirect way
• to make the acts of kindness character traits of people
• shock people with so much love that they ask why is this done and then introduce them Islam morals

These activities might include :

• put sticky notes with a candy on table for students and write an inspiring quote
• Wrap some candies with a thank you note for doctors and attach them on the door ex: " thank you being great teachers"
• write encouraging notes and put them inside the library
• leave a change on coffee machine in the doctors room like : "enjoy your drink on us"

and many other activities that will change anybody's mood and spread positivity all over the place.
